- Formation of Mongol Empire under Chinges Khan in 1206.
- Mongol capital Karakorum is destroyed by Ming troops in 1388.
- Ulan Bator, the current capital of Mongolia was founded in 1639.
- Declared Independence on December 29, 1911 under Bogh Khaan.
- Mongolia's independence declared once again in July 11, 1921.
- In 1924 Mongolian People's Republic was proclaimed.
- Mongolian and Soviet troops defeated Japanese invasion in 1939.
- Mongolia applied for membership into UN for the first time in 1946.
- October 25, 1961, Mongolia accepted into UN as the 101st member.
- 1989-1990, Mongolia seek Democracy.
- Mongolia's new constitution give freedom and human rights in 1992.
- First direct presidential election held in 1993. Ochirbat elected as president.
- In 1997 Bagabandi elected as president.
- President Bagabandi re-elected in 2001.
- In 2005, Nambaryn Enkhbayar become the president of Mongolia.
- November 2005, president George W. Bush visited Mongolia.
- July 2008, president Enkbayar declares state of emergency.
- Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj wins the presidential election in 2009.
